About Dr Nadun
Fulfilling his childhood passion Dr Nadun got selected to medical school after finishing high school.
He completed the medical degree in 2007 at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. After finishing his internship at two leading teaching hospitals in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a brief period of academic work, he moved to Singapore where he worked at Johns Hopkins Singapore International Medical Center and Tan Tock Seng hospitals where he worked in medical oncology.
Dr Nadun has been working in Darwin since 2011. He initially worked at Royal Darwin Hospital as a resident medical officer completing rotations in general surgery, general medicine, psychiatry, cardiology, emergency medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, palliative care, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
Subsequently he got selected to his specialist training in general practice. He obtained his fellowship in 2016.
He has done further training in paediatrics, palliative care, dermatology, medical education, and occupational medicine.
Dr Nadun has a special interest in effective communication and is a certified NLP practitioner and a coach.
Dr Nadun is also a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
